Veterans Support

Veterans Support at Tyler’s Redemption Place brings together those who have served our country and now seek connection, stability, or support in their recovery and well-being.

Veterans gathered at the Memorial Day March at the recovery community organization.

Many of the veterans we serve are walking their recovery journey, and all are welcome.

What Veterans Support Is

Through shared experience, veterans find camaraderie, encouragement, and practical tools to move forward with strength and confidence.

At Tyler’s Redemption Place, veterans support is always:

  • Free
  • Confidential
  • Non-clinical
  • Grounded in lived experience
  • Built on connection, respect, and community

Peer Recovery Support for Veterans

Our certified Veteran Peer Recovery Supporters bring a unique combination of lived experience — both in recovery and in military service. They walk alongside veterans one-on-one, offering connection, encouragement, and practical support from someone who truly understands the challenges of military life, reintegration, and recovery.

Veterans meet with Peer Recovery Supporters to:

  • Talk through challenges in a confidential, judgment-free space
  • Set goals and explore next steps in recovery or personal growth
  • Connect to resources for stability, wellness, and support
  • Build confidence and strengthen coping skills
  • Feel understood by someone who has walked a similar path

VETERAN MEETINGS

These gatherings help veterans build community, strengthen coping skills, and support one another through shared experience.

Veteran Meetings include:

  • Weekly Veteran Meeting — connection, discussion, and peer support
  • Be The Light — a veteran-specific personal growth meeting focused on purpose, confidence, and emotional resilience
  • Anger Management — we welcome anyone to participate, but especially supportive of veterans working on emotional regulation and healthy communication
  • Fellowship of the Spirit – a veterans 12-step workshop

Health & Wellness Programming

Wellness is a core part of recovery. Veterans have free access to a range of supportive amenities and activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being, including:

Tst-vr at the Retreat — Virtual Reality for Recovery

We offer veterans a 17-session virtual reality program designed to support emotional regulation, cognitive reframing, and recovery skills. Transcending Self-Therapy Virtual Reality (TST-VR) at the Retreat uses immersive learning to help:

  • Challenge negative thought patterns
  • Build coping strategies
  • Strengthen long-term recovery

We offer this program to veterans who are ready to commit and grow — contact us for availability.
